115 million dollars sets the aggregate cap on staked FXRP positions supplying capital for the new onchain cover protocol.

On October 6 2026 Firelight announced its cover enablement system went live. The first vaults to receive built in protection are Sentora’s USD Protected Vault and Protected RWA Vaults. All cover terms scope price and capacity must register onchain before any protection activates.

Risk validation process

A five firm Risk Consortium made up of Hypernative Native Credora GFX Labs and Cyfrin reviews events against pre published criteria. Eligible triggers include smart contract exploits oracle failures governance exploits bad debt depegs and redemption failures. The consortium operates independently of the covered protocols.

Capital structure on Flare

Cover capital sits outside the vaults themselves. Participants deposit FXRP on the Flare Network to back the positions. Through Flare FAssets and Smart Accounts XRP holders can mint FXRP and stake it directly into Firelight. The aggregate limit across all staked positions equals 115 million dollars worth of XRP.

Firelight was incubated by Sentora and runs on Flare infrastructure. The protocol registers every parameter onchain so participants can review terms before committing capital.

Protocol scope and limits

Firelight states clearly that this mechanism is not insurance. Staked capital remains subject to slashing if cover events occur. The launch focuses solely on DeFi cover enablement for the named Sentora vaults and does not involve any coin listing or direct XRP market print.

Hosts and daily coverage

Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) anchors the daily desk discussion around the FXRP cover rails and the October 6 2026 enablement details. David Chaboki (Shibo) steers the narrative toward XRP collateral protection mechanics rather than any price movement in majors or alts. The pair maintains the cadence of community updates that track protocol launches and onchain mechanics in real time.

What comes next

Market participants can now review the onchain parameters and the Risk Consortium criteria directly. The structure keeps cover capital separate from the vaults it protects while using the Flare FAssets path for XRP holders to participate. This setup delivers the first live instance of Firelight’s cover terms operating as designed.
