Interactive Brokers said on Oct. 13, 2026 that eligible clients can now stake Ethereum in its Client Portal. NFA.

Service Access

The staking option sits inside a Staking Dashboard within the IBKR Client Portal. Eligible Interactive Brokers LLC clients reach the dashboard to submit stake or unstake requests. The same screen displays pending staking activity so users can follow the status of their instructions without leaving the platform.

Reward Handling

Any staking rewards arrive as additional staked ETH. Those rewards remain in the staked position and can compound over time while the client keeps the asset committed. This structure keeps the process contained within the existing account rather than requiring separate wallets or transfers for the rewards themselves.

Account Integration

Clients keep crypto positions next to stocks, options, bonds and funds inside one account. The setup lets users manage traditional holdings and the newly staked Ethereum from the same interface. Funding and outgoing transfers for supported assets use USDC, RLUSD and PYUSD to both custodial and self-custody wallets.

Company Statement

Interactive Brokers CEO Milan Galik said staking lets clients get more from the crypto they already own. The comment frames the addition as an extension of existing holdings rather than a new product line. Interactive Brokers, based in Greenwich, Conn., describes itself as an automated global broker.

Launch Scope

At launch the service covers Ethereum only. Clients submit instructions through the dashboard and receive reward credits automatically as additional staked ETH. The company has not listed other assets for staking at this stage.

Platform Context

The move places Ethereum staking alongside established brokerage functions. Users access stake and unstake actions without opening external accounts. Pending activity remains visible in the same dashboard that initiates the requests.

Interactive Brokers has kept the rollout limited to eligible clients and Ethereum at this date. The Staking Dashboard centralizes requests, tracking and reward credits in one location inside the Client Portal. This keeps the process inside the single account that already holds other asset classes.
