RippleX Ships XRPL Kit v1.1 for Stripe Tempo AI Agent Payments
XRP traded around 1.30 dollars on Thursday when RippleX dropped version 1.1 of the XRPL AI Starter Kit. The move adds the Machine Payments Protocol co-authored by Stripe and Tempo, giving developers a new way to let AI agents pay for data, APIs, and compute in XRP.
Kit Update Details
The release builds on the June starter kit that already supported x402 payments. Version 1.1 folds in MPP as a second option without removing the earlier path. Agents can now trigger one-shot XRP payments or use payment channels for session-based spends. RLUSD works for one-shot transfers today, while session payments in stablecoins wait on a future ledger upgrade.
Jazzi Cooper, head of product at RippleX, said the goal is to make XRP and RLUSD first-class choices inside agentic workflows. The Open Wallet Standard also landed in the same package, letting agents request transactions without holding private keys and giving builders spending controls.
Developer Focus Only
This update stays inside the developer toolkit. It does not place XRP on Stripe consumer checkout rails or create new retail payment flows. No commercial customer names or payment volumes appear in the reports from NameCoinNews, Coinpedia, or Cryptopolitan. The software remains in beta.
The distinction matters for anyone scanning price action. Majors including Bitcoin near 76,621 dollars, Ethereum near 2,448 dollars, and Solana near 101.21 dollars showed little reaction tied to the kit itself. XRP price candles reflected broader market moves rather than a direct catalyst from the announcement.
How MPP Works
Stripe and Tempo designed the protocol so an HTTP 402 pay request can prompt an agent to authorize funds and release the requested resource. On XRPL the same flow now supports XRP for both single calls and ongoing sessions. Developers can test the pattern without waiting for additional ledger changes.
Reports from CoinDesk and Crypto Economy confirm the same scope. The kit gives builders another settlement rail inside an open standard rather than a finished consumer product.
Price Context
Spot markets stayed calm around the release. XRP hovered near 1.30 dollars with no outsized candle tied to the developer note. DOGE printed near 0.0818 dollars and ETH near 2,448 dollars followed similar quiet ranges. Traders watching the chart saw the news as protocol-level progress rather than an immediate price driver.
Next Steps for Builders
Teams can download the updated starter kit and begin wiring agent logic to XRP or RLUSD payments. The addition keeps the focus on software that can run today while leaving room for future stablecoin session upgrades. Reports indicate the change expands options without replacing existing x402 support.
The update aligns with RippleX efforts to position the ledger inside emerging AI payment standards. Builders now have a clearer path to test agent spends on XRPL without new infrastructure.
Market Watch
Majors continued their ranges after the release. No sharp moves appeared on the four-hour or daily charts linked to the kit. Volume stayed steady as the story stayed inside developer channels rather than retail flows.
The separation between protocol work and price candles remains clear in this cycle. RippleX delivered the update, and traders can track how agents actually adopt the new settlement path over coming weeks.
