XRP Ledger: XRPL Amendment fixCleanup3_3_0 Nears September 11 Window
82.86 percent of active XRPL validators, or 29 out of 35, have backed the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment since August 28. That level clears the threshold needed for the earliest activation slot at 11:15 UTC on September 11 if support holds through the window.
The bundle bundles fixes across DeFi components, vault handling, AMM logic, DEX operations, Checks, and pseudo-account mechanics. Node operators must upgrade to rippled 3.3.0 or higher before the change can take effect.
Market snapshot on September 9
CoinGecko data at 9:32 p.m. ET showed Bitcoin at $78,176, down 0.7 percent on the session. Ethereum traded at $2,465.16, off 1.0 percent. XRP sat at $1.39 after a 1.9 percent decline while Solana printed $101.08, lower by 2.3 percent. Dogecoin led the downside among majors at $0.085612, a 4.9 percent drop.
What the numbers mean for traders
The amendment itself changes little for exchange-held or app-managed XRP balances. Holders using self-hosted nodes or advanced ledger features face the direct upgrade requirement. Markets have so far treated the timeline as a routine maintenance item rather than a catalyst.
Community watch points
Crypto Spaces Network hosts have flagged the September 11 window in daily rooms. Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) noted the validator count during their regular broadcasts, keeping community attention on the upgrade path.
The upgrade arrives against a broader backdrop of modest red candles across the majors. Bitcoin and Ethereum both slipped under key intraday levels while XRP and Solana extended their weekly pullbacks. Traders tracking the ledger timeline now have a clear date to monitor for any follow-through moves once the change activates.
Next steps on the timeline
Validator support must remain above 80 percent through the coming days. If the threshold slips, activation shifts to the next available window. The cleanup bundle targets long-standing edge cases in the DeFi stack and does not alter consensus rules or token economics.
Price charts will continue to reflect broader macro flows more than this single ledger patch. Still, the September 11 mark gives node operators and advanced users a concrete deadline to complete upgrades before the network moves forward.
